I love that our chickens just welcome themselves inside whenever the door is open. I shoo them out rather quickly, since they aren’t wearing diapers and they are quite the little poop factories. But it makes me smile every time.
They are still too young to produce eggs. So far, they aren't much maintenance at all. We went from 4 down to 2 chickens, and it helps a lot with the poop situation. They are so much fun!
I miss having a few little poop factories like yours around. I don't miss the 3500 poop factories we used to have on the farm but a few are always entertaining. I keep trying to tell my husband that just a couple of them would be good for eggs and bug control but he says our yard is a "foul free zone".

Do you have eggs yet?! How high-maintenance are they?

I have chickens too and they just sit by backdoor and peck at the window. They always try to sneak in. It puts a smile on my face as well.

I have to shoo our neighbors chickens back in their yard every day…I love it, and someday I hope to have a few of my own 🙂
