Random Question
I’m busy scheming over here, and I’m wondering if any of you has a personal connection to any of the following bands. If you do, I would be forever indebted to you if you would e-mail me! Alternatively, if you have a personal connection with any Austin bands that are really, really good, that could work, too. I promise to divulge more once this idea is a little more fleshed out.
Thank you in advance for your help!

That is quite the list! What exactly do you mean by 'personal connection'?
Maggie
I too was going to ask you to further clarify "personal connection".
Allison Campbell
I feel "personally connected" whenever I listen to some of these bands, does that count? 😉
DancingGrapes
I don't but wish I did because you listed some awesome groups…

andrew bird gave us a version of his song without the words for our wedding…to walk down the aisle to. We don't know him, but his "people" were very willing to talk to us and work with us. So maybe just contact some of these bands yourself for your secret mission?! Good luck!! And if you become friends with M Ward…I want to be his friend too!

Sorry for my delayed response!
A "personal connection" might be anything like…
"My colleague is the mother of…"
"I went to high school with…"
"My brother-in-law is best friends with…"
Thank you in advance for your help!

You're scheming is definitely intriguing! Sadly, no personal connection for me to any of these artists but I'm so pleasantly surprised to see so many Canadian groups on the list. Oh how I hope summer arrives so we can enjoy live folk music out on the grass soon!
