Best Running Shoes for Wide Feet: In My Opinion
It has been a disturbingly long time since I have gone running. I think the fall of my running habit correlates with the rise of the pandemic. (It doesn’t take much to convince me to stay inside and eat junk food!) And I really shouldn’t call it a “running habit,” per se. It was more like a “bounce walking” habit. But here I am recommending the best running shoes for wide feet. Because even if you aren’t running, you still need comfy, padded sneakers for walking, right?
My new favorite shoes are the HOKA One Rincon 2. They are the perfect combination of rounded (for my wide feet), super padded, and super lightweight. I almost didn’t buy them because I thought the thick padding looked way too granny. But then I realized that I’m perimenopausal and might as well embrace my granny side. (And who really cares what our sneakers look like?).
And even though I had resigned myself to not caring what I look like in my walking shoes, I was pleasantly surprised when they looked a lot better in person.
So I’m smitten with them. They are super-comfortable and they ended up looking quasi-cute.
Although I’m still not bounce walking, I am using my treadmill desk a lot. This article says if you walk for an hour a day, you should replace your shoes every three months. (I had my last pair of sneakers for a whopping three YEARS. Oops.)
I kind of want to stock up on these in case they get discontinued.
