Fall Backyard Movie Night
Every year, I find myself scrambling a little in November and December to finish any Family Goals we haven’t yet accomplished. That means it’s time for a Fall Backyard Movie Night!
We are a family that likes to prioritize relatively early bedtimes. So I waited until the time change to plan our last backyard movie night of the year. It will get darker earlier and the event can end at a decent time.
And the relatively mild weather in Austin means that November isn’t too late in the year to be outside. And it will be even more fun to cozy up with blankets!
Schedule of Events: Fall Backyard Movie Night
5:00-5:45pm = Eating and Playing
5:45-8:00pm = Movie Time!
Menu
I’ll be serving up soup and bread. I think I’ll make a Lebanese Lentil Soup with lots of garlic, cilantro, lime, and cinnamon. And now that I think about it, I might do a baked potato bar as well. Toppings will include butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, black beans, salsa, green onions, and bacon bits. Guests will bring additional sides and drinks. I’ll probably just set up some cucumber water.
And that’s about it!
The movie will be Jingle Jangle (although E.T. was a close second).
I’m looking forward to getting together with friends in a relaxed and fun setting!
