    This Year’s Holiday Card: Wishing You Well!

    I started working on this year’s holiday card in October. I try to start early every year or else it starts to feel too stressful around Thanksgiving and Christmas to finish them on time. It’s the same template every year (less stress!). I pick 16 photos from the year, write captions, and write a letter to print on the backs. I pay a graphic designer $25 to pop in the photos and format everything in the template. Then I print them on GotPrint.

    I’m almost finished reading Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. I can’t recommend it enough! Have you read it already? I know I am usually behind the ball when it comes to book recommendations!

    I’m already a huge fan of Bryan Stevenson. I became familiar with his work years ago when he was a keynote speaker at an education conference. But I didn’t get around to reading Just Mercy until Thanksgiving Break.

    Gratitude: Happy Thanksgiving Break!

    I’m writing this post from my old couch in my new house. The living room and kitchen are completely set up. (Just don’t step into the garage. Oh wait, it’s so packed you wouldn’t even be able to step into it!) I am full of gratitude.

    I am so grateful for my little family of four. It feels like wherever we are together is home. On our first morning in our new house, we made pancakes and played Mario Party.

    I am so grateful for Barclay the Husky that we get to babysit for two months.
