    Are bearded dragons good pets?

    Henry has been asking for a lizard for quite a while now. We’ve been ignoring his request because we’ve been preparing for a Family Gap Year. However, things hit a low low last week. Henry was saying that he thinks I love Tate more than him, that I don’t like him, that he can’t handle the pressure of homeschooling, that I love my work more than him, and that he can’t survive another day without a pet. I had already been wondering, “Are bearded dragons good pets?” But then I had an idea about how I could find out in a no-strings-attached kind of way!

    Family Camping: Our Most Recent Trip

    We had so much fun on our recent family camping trip. There was no time to take photos! This trip was the Spring campout through our school. We have a trip in the Fall and a trip in the Spring. The photo above is from our camping trip to the same location last year.

    We headed out for Pedernales Falls State Park on Saturday morning. When we arrived, we set up camp right next to good friends of ours. Our giant pop-up tent continues to be amazing.

    I’m still smiling over here about our summer vacation to upstate New York. What a gorgeous part of the country during a gorgeous time of the year. (Hello, ticks!).
