    Montessori Floor Bed: Update About How It’s Working

    On Sunday morning, Tate woke up, crawled to his shelf, pulled up, and began rummaging through a little wooden box with toys in it. It gave me the idea that now might be a good time to give an update about the Montessori floor bed. We’ve used it through two infants and are still using it with our toddler.     Montessori Pull-Up Bar and Mirror: How and Why

    At the six-month mark, Tate began trying to pull up on things, and we knew it was time to install the Montessori Pull-Up Bar and Mirror.

    The bar is installed at chest-height for the baby, which I think is approximately 17 inches. The baby uses it to pull up into a standing position and later practice cruising.

    A friend of mine asked for Recommended Montessori Toys for a One Year-Old, and I immediately went to Kylie’s post. Sadly, I misread it and thought many of the links were only available in Australia, so I decided to recreate a similar list for my friend (and later realized the Australian links were in addition to the U.S. links!–how long can I blame the post-partum hormones?).
