    Parenting Tip: Something I Need to Focus On

    In my weekly newsletters, I frequently mention some sort of struggle I’m having with parenting. Last week, I mentioned that my therapist said I need to learn how to better handle chaos and that I should be thankful that parenting can teach me that!     Routines for a New School Year: What We Are Trying

    It feels like all I’ve been doing is writing about routines for a new school year! I had this post about our routines last year. And then this post about our routines for distance learning. And now I’m writing about routines for going back to school part-time.

    Starting today, the boys are heading back to school from 7:45am-11am, Tuesday through Friday. They will work on their distance learning homework at school. If they finish it at school, they don’t have any homework. If they don’t finish it, they have to come home and do homework. They still have a full set of distance learning assignments on Mondays.

    Routines for Distance Learning: Getting Set Up

    The school year is already upon us! We start early down here. Monday to be exact! That’s why my brain is starting to think about routines for distance learning.

    Our school puts out this schedule for families to use as a sample as they work to plan their own days. Matt is our dedicated homeschool parent because he only does contract work right now. However, I also want to make time to support some of the school work.
