Dearest 2020, I’m looking ahead!
What do you have in store for me? And what do I want to try and make true for myself?
If everything goes as planned with our Family Gap Year, our year will be divided into two distinct periods: January through May in Austin. June through December in other countries.

Dearest 2019, it’s time for my annual reflection!
What kind of year did we have together?
My highs include spending a month in Melbourne at a Montessori training, a super-fun birthday dinner and late-night dancing party, my first-ever cruise (even though I realized I am not a cruise person), my first-ever RV trip (even though I realized I am not an RV person), an incredible summer vacation in upstate New York, a summer visit from my mom, a visit from some of our best friends from Oakland, regular Saturday Suppers, regular pizza dinners with neighbors, two fun weddings, Thanksgiving at the beach with my family, … Read More

What I’m Working on Right Now: September
As I wrote the title above about what I’m working on right now, I accidentally wrote August. How is September almost here?
I try to step back on a monthly cadence to see how I’m doing in my life and whether there are any adjustments I want to make.
My goal is to make sure this process doesn’t feel overly obsessive or self-controlling (both things I’m working on as a person!). But I do want to always feel like I’m making the most of this one wild and precious life I’ve been given. Tomorrow is not a guarantee.
