    Vacation in Upstate New York: A Video

    Matt finished putting together a video of our vacation in Upstate New York. A friend of ours gave us his old drone and GoPro, so that’s what Matt uses. We also used our iPhones to capture pieces of it.

    I’m constantly asking parents who are older than I am, “What do you which you would have done differently to savor your children’s childhoods?” One of the answers that stuck out to me was a colleague of mine. He said, “I wish I would have captured more video.”

    Educational Inequity: The Problem Is Real

    A conservative commentator, Ben Shapiro, gave a speech at Berkeley back in 2017. In it, he addressed many subjects including educational inequity, white privilege, and poverty. I’ll be going to a community discussion about his perspective. Therefore I wanted to spend a little time preparing my thoughts.

    Anniversary Traditions: Happy 11 Years, Matt!

    It’s no secret that I love rituals and traditions. I’ve got parenting rituals, birthday rituals, Valentine’s Day rituals, Christmas rituals. And probably other ones I’m not thinking of right now. So it’s no surprise that Matt and I have anniversary traditions, too!
