Camping with Kids: You don’t do it for the sleep
Our second tent-camping experience with kids was a success! We drove to Palmetto State Park after school, stopping in Lockhart for dinner.
Similar to our first tent-camping experience with our kids, we arrived later than I wish we had. Unlike our first trip, we at least arrived while it was still light outside. Fortunately, our tent is incredible. It literally pops into place! However, it got dark right when we finished, and it didn’t leave a lot of time to play and socialize with friends. Anniversary Traditions: Happy 11 Years, Matt!
It’s no secret that I love rituals and traditions. I’ve got parenting rituals, birthday rituals, Valentine’s Day rituals, Christmas rituals. And probably other ones I’m not thinking of right now. So it’s no surprise that Matt and I have anniversary traditions, too!

New IKEA Finds: What We Are Loving Right Now
This weekend we all went to my office at work. The boys spend about 30 minutes a day in my office, so we have a collection of toys there. Henry wanted Matt to help him with a big Lego set he was working on, and I wanted a chance to tidy up at the end of the semester. It felt good to get everything organized again.
