Women’s Retreat: What’s on the Agenda


My Women’s Retreat is coming up this Friday! I’m so excited for so many reasons!
First, my friend Allison put together an elaborate menu. She loves to cook, and she’s really good at it.
Second, I’m excited to reconnect with folks I haven’t seen in a very long time.
I’m also excited for some introspection time. It’s a natural moment for reflection because our big push to set up an AirBnb is finally finished. I had a great time chatting with Katherine about friendships lately! Now that we life is shifting as COVID changes, it seemed like a good time to do a “friendship audit” and see how we’re doing in this important life arena.

Cheap Blackout Curtains: The Why and How



I don’t often think about cheap blackout curtains! In fact, Matt and I didn’t even install curtains in our bedroom at our last house. But now that we are setting up a short-term rental (on AirBnb and VRBO), we want to provide blackout curtains in all of the bedrooms.
Trying to furnish a house all at once is so expensive, so we had to look for the most affordable options wherever possible. I was really nervous about cutting corners with the curtains.
