I haven’t really enjoyed baking or cooking for many years. Looking back on it, I think my aversion toward it correlates with adding children into our family. There were just a lot of things that became difficult to maintain (like cleaning our house every week). Baking and cooking for fun fell lower and lower down the list. Coronavirus Homeschooling: What We Are Doing

We are heading into Week 4 of school being canceled in Austin, TX. We are anticipating the need to shelter in place for the long haul (until there is a vaccine?). So I worked with the staff at our school to come up with a coronavirus homeschooling approach. Our school is intentionally one of the most diverse schools in the entire city of Austin—racially, culturally, and socioeconomically. Therefore, we wanted a plan that could serve all families.

Simple Bread Recipe: My Favorite!

I’m not one of those people who is going crazy on Pinterest trying to find activities for my children to do during the pandemic. For the most part, our lives follow a regular routine. Matt homeschools the boys for 2-3 hours each morning. They play before lunch. They work with me to make lunch, and then we picnic and swim in the pool.
