    Enroll Now: Preparing Your Mind, Body, and Life for Pregnancy

    I’ve been too busy to offer this course for the past year. Fortunately, my two-week Fall Break has opened up some time and space for me to prepare to offer it again. Even though Matt and I are not planning to have more children (Matt had a vasectomy to prevent any accidental pregnancies), I’m looking forward to participating. It’s like a tune-up for my life.

    Register Now: Purposeful Conception Course

    My part-time job has officially ended, which is such a weird feeling. I’m getting closer and closer to being able to focus full-time on my passion, which is to start Austin’s first public Montessori school (and then a national network of public Montessori schools in diverse communities nationwide).
     
    Even though I’ve done very real things toward that end (i.e., founded a 501(c)(3), recruited a board of directors, raised half a million dollars, put two pieces of land under contract for the future school, etc.), it still doesn’t feel quite real.

    Class Starts Today!

    We turned in our charter application to the state of Texas on Thursday. Phew! I stayed up until 6am (and then slept until 7am) before running around all day (to tour a school, get checks cashed, get things notarized, make 1,716 pages of copies, and hand delivery the six copies to the state education office.
    I’ve never stayed up that late to work on something in my life (even in college). The state revised the budget templates less than 72 hours before the application was due, so it prevented us from getting the application done as early as we would have liked.
