West Texas Adventure
I’ve been trying to wrestle more free time into my life. I’ve been so out of practice with free time that I find myself wondering what to do with myself when I finally get it. My general answer is either: read, swim, or start dreaming and scheming (sometimes I combine the latter two).I’ve been reading some great escape fiction lately (and love this book that I’m currently reading). Planning a Neighborhood Movie Night
When Matt and I were dreaming and scheming about building a house, we purchased a large outdoor movie screen, so that we could invite friends over and watch movies outside.Now that we’ve lived in our house for almost two years, we should get this party started!Maybe once a month? In April, May, June, July, August, and September?We would definitely need to do it after bedtime since our boys go to bed so early. Maybe it could start at 7pm? San Diego!
Spring Break! What fun!
During Spring Break, our family trekked to San Diego for five days of fun. I was born in San Diego and spent the first 12 years of my life there. I was eager to share it with my family.
We rented a small house in Mission Beach from Airbnb. We were just a block away from the beach. Although it wasn’t the nicest place, it fit within our budget and had two rooms (which makes it a lot easier to put Tate to sleep). Here were some of the highlights of our trip:
