    Life as a Work in Progress

    If you want to know how I’m feeling on the inside, just take one look at my surroundings. Up until yesterday you would have seen a messy house, messy car, and messy work bag. And I’m gaining weight. 

    Inside, I feel like my to-do list is endless, things are coming at me too fast, and I’m completely exhausted all the time. None of this is a surprise.     Making a Change

    For me, when it comes to making a change in my life, my first step is usually to be clear about what I want to change. I did that a couple weeks ago in this post when I wrote about wanting to eat healthier foods and get more exercise. 

    Sadly, it hasn’t led to any change in my life! I’ve still been indulging in unhealthy foods and not making any time for exercise. Identifying that I have been stress-eating didn’t do anything to help abate said stress-eating.

    The loveliest book arrived on my doorstep by surprise (from this lovely lady): Wholefood for Children. I’ve been hankering for a copy ever since I read Kylie’s mention of it. When it arrived, I started to devour it right away.
     
    It came at the perfect time in my life. Although I’m feeling pretty stable and balanced with our expanded family, I feel like one of our most neglected areas is health and wellness. The intro chapters of this book focus on the importance of cultivating health and wellness within our families and creating a conscious family food culture. Yes!
