    Home Organization

    So I’ve been wanting to clean and organize our house for a while. I’m the kind of person who feels happier and more comfortable in a clean and organized environment (I actually wish I weren’t so sensitive to my environment!). Lots of other things keep getting in the way (like my three-month-old, a lack of motivation, other more urgent deadlines, etc.).

    And then I got a request in the comments section of this post from WilderMiss to post a tour of my house. I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, so her request was a little kick in the pants.

    Etsy Find

    I fell in love with this image of basket containers via Martha Stewart and then later that day I saw this basket on the front page off Etsy for $12.50. I snatched it up with my allowance money. But later, when I showed the photo to Matt, he said he really liked it and he was fine if we used our joint funds to buy it. Woo-hoo!

    There are a few parts of our house that need work. Every time I pass by them, they bother me, and yet I haven’t yet done anything about them. Argh! As I said a while ago, it often only takes 15 minutes

    Update on Family Mission Statement

    Last week, I was trying to figure out the best way to frame our family mission statement. I was looking for an inexpensive option that could be revised and updated as the years pass.

    I decided on a very easy option. I bought a three-panel frame from IKEA (each picture is 5 x 7), ordered one of my favorite Etsy prints, turned one of our photos into black-and-white in Picasa, ordered a 5 x 7 print of it on Snapfish, and typed our family mission statement into a Word document, and printed it on gray resume paper.

    Voila!
