Holiday Gift Ideas: Things I’ve Given

holiday gift ideas

I’ve been enjoying generating holiday gift ideas. I like to get started early to alleviate some stress. Also, the more time I have, the more thoughtful I can be about what to get people.

Here are things I have either given or received in the past:

  1. Mixed Metal Necklace: My mother-in-law bought a similar necklace for me. I love it so much and wear it at least once a week. I found a similar one (see link) for one of my colleagues.
  2. Hand towels for the kitchen: I bought these in bulk and then gave them out to colleagues. I was able to be really intentional about matching designs to their personalities.
  3. Hand painted custom pet or house portrait: We used this artist to paint a custom piece of art for Matt’s parents. We sent her a photograph of Matt’s childhood home. It came out so great!
  4. Personalized Address Stamp: I bought this for myself and love the aesthetics. But there are so many to choose from on Etsy!
  5. Cement Business Card Holder: I bought this for my office and love the way it looks.

Please feel free to comment with any great holiday gift ideas, either gifts you have received or given!

I have Christmas gift giving on the brain as well. I just purchased my first Christmas gift of the season today (Kiwi Crate subscription) I keep a Google docs spreadsheet and add a new sheet each year. I enjoy brainstorming ahead of time. It also helps with planning and executing homemade gifts on time and watching for sales.
I like the address stamp idea, especially for some newlyweds on my list.
