Menopause: What are good resources?
I’m wondering if I’m starting the menopause process, or at least perimenopause. It’s hard to tell! My periods are coming more frequently, and I’m feeling a fluttering in my reproductive organs. It’s the same fluttering I felt the three times I got pregnant. (Point of clarification: One pregnancy resulted in miscarriage.)
I have no idea what to expect!
Stress definitely has an impact on my cycles. And I am most certainly stressed right now! This year hasn’t been easy between COVID and the snowpocalypse and other unexpected tragedies. But stress usually makes my cycles farther apart, not closer together.
I’m realizing I need to start learning about what to expect. I like to face each new stage in life with intention and purpose. First comes loves. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage. Where is the mention of menopause?
I decided to send out a survey to several women who are older than I am. (I just turned 43). If you want to fill it out, please do so!

My quick search is revealing that there isn’t a ton of quality content about menopause. Do you know of good resources? Good books? Blogs? Podcasts?
Thank you in advance for any advice you have!

A friend of mine started this website and practice because she saw a great need for resources and more support.

Hi Sara,
Wondering do you chart your cycle? That’s a baseline way of understanding changes in your cycle and hormone balancing — all related to journeying through perimenopause – menopause well.
I think you had a post a while ago wondering about hormone balancing? Lisa Hendrick-Jack has created amazing content on these topics! I’m 47 and finished her course earlier this year, https://fertilityfriday.com/ I can’t recommend her podcast and info enough. I’ve been following you since 2000 Dollar wedding and think this will be up your alley.
Other good sources: https://www.floliving.com/symptom-free-perimenopause-guide/ (lots of product for sale on this site created by Alissa Vitti which I don’t love, but her books are great_ aand a new book on the scene https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Self-Care-Down-There/Taq-Kaur-Bhandal/9781507212363.
Enjoy!
