    Inexpensive Greeting Cards: My System

    April 23, 2019 / 2 Comments
My file folder system for organizing inexpensive greeting cards

I’m pretty obsessed with the inexpensive greeting cards at Trader Joe’s. I’ve never been one who is comfortable forking over $5+ for a single card. I’ve always thought, “Someone would probably rather receive a note on copy paper with a $5 bill than a $5 greeting card!” (Maybe that’s just me and not other people. I am a bit weird like that.)

But at the same time, I do want to honor celebrations with something nice looking. Enter the $1 inexpensive greeting cards from Trader Joe’s. These cards are fantastic. For example, they are sturdy, well-designed, and well-written.

Fun Things to Do with Kids in Lockhart Texas

Our family has a goal of exploring four small towns this year, so we headed to Lockhart, Texas. We loved exploring Lockhart Texas with kids!

    Dismantling White Supremacy Book Discussion

    April 17, 2019 / No Comments
Advancing Equity in Public Montessori book discussion about dismantling white supremacy

As part of my work at Montessori For All, I help facilitate a group of public Montessori leaders. We commit to figuring out how to fully implement Montessori in a way that ensures equitable outcomes for all children. Therefore, dismantling white supremacy is absolutely part of our work. One of the participants, the amazing Jacqui Miller from Stonebrook Montessori, had the idea to do a bookclub. As a result, she recommended that we focus on Bettina Love’s book entitled, We Want to Do More Than Survive. Additionally, the subtitle is Abolitionist Teaching and the Pursuit of Educational Freedom.
