DIY Chalkboard Kitchen Island: Why I Love It
This weekend I was inspired to make a DIY chalkboard kitchen island. We did it in our old house, and I have been missing it in our new house! Does anyone else have kids who put their feet on the walls? Like all the time? Especially while they are sitting at the counter eating?
I just love, love, love having black paint with a chalky film instead of feet marks! And it was actually a rewarding DIY project instead of one of those projects I feel like I have to pay someone else to do or immediately regret it right after I start.

Reiki: How My Session Went for Me
The other week, I mentioned that I was suddenly inspired to try reiki. At the time, I didn’t know much about it. But I booked an appointment and went for it! I am really craving more connection with my body. I also want to promote healing.

A Night Away with One Child: Highly Recommended!
I was finally able to take a night away with one child! And it was so much fun.
On Friday afternoon, Henry and I headed out of town into Hill Country. We rented someone’s pool house via AirBnB. It was a simple one bedroom place with access to the river, a hot tub, and a (freezing) pool.
