    Reunions with Friends: Do you have any coming up?

    I have two reunions with friends coming up, and I’m excited! The first is my 20th college reunion and the second is my 20th anniversary of starting Teach For America.

    It’s so easy to let things like this slip by without even realizing it. Luckily, friends of mine took the lead on getting the Teach For America reunion planning going. I helped by finding an AirBnb for us in rural Louisiana.

    A Fun Game to Play with Kids: We Like It!

    This weekend, I had to figure out what to do with the boys while Matt went running. Additionally, I wanted to give him a little break. It led to the discovery of a fun game to play with kids.

    First, we grabbed breakfast tacos for lunch. I feel so lucky to live in a town where access to breakfast tacos for lunch is a thing. A very common thing.

    We took them to one of our favorite parks and ate on a picnic blanket in the shade. Then we played on the swings for a while.

    What do you do with your kids on the weekend?

    I had a great weekend with my family! As their ages change, what we find ourselves doing changes, too. Now my kids are 8 years-old and 6 years-old. It has me wondering how others answer the question: What do you do with your kids on the weekend?

    This weekend, we did one of my favorite things: We took a day trip to a small Texas town. We try to take this kind of trip at least four times a year. This time, we went to Lampasas, Texas.
