    A New Womanly Habit

    It’s a little late to be putting this new womanly habit in place. But better late than never, right?

    I started listening to the Feel Better Live More podcast episode with Dr. Mindy Pelz. She talks about the dramatic hormone shifts that happen to us during perimenopause and highlights specific strategies we can put in place.

    I came across an advertisement on Instagram from NutritionFacts.org. The Magic Internet knows that I care about trying to feed myself and my family healthy foods (even though I would put us at about a 6 out of 10). The site talks about how to eat healthy and be healthy with 12 these easy steps.

    For some reason, I love these 12 ideas so much! They seem so easy and actionable. For example, I can knock out four of them with a single breakfast smoothie.

    I finally prioritized an annual dermatologist visit! I’m 43 years-old, and my general practitioner recommended that I get a skin cancer screening.

    I dragged my feet for months. Then, when I finally did call to make an appointment with a dermatologist, I couldn’t get an appointment for another two or so months!

    So I finally got myself to the dermatologist last week. The visit was quick and easy. I stripped down to my underwear and put on a hospital gown (opening to the back). The doctor looked over different parts of my body, like my scalp, my back, my arms, etc.
