Buying a Vacation Home: Our Step-by-Step Process
Those of you who subscribe to my weekly newsletter have been hearing all about my desire to reinvest the money from our cash-out refinance into buying a vacation home. Interest rates are so good right now, and I live in Austin, which is a strong real estate market. DIY Chalkboard Kitchen Island: Why I Love It
This weekend I was inspired to make a DIY chalkboard kitchen island. We did it in our old house, and I have been missing it in our new house! Does anyone else have kids who put their feet on the walls? Like all the time? Especially while they are sitting at the counter eating?
I just love, love, love having black paint with a chalky film instead of feet marks! And it was actually a rewarding DIY project instead of one of those projects I feel like I have to pay someone else to do or immediately regret it right after I start.
