    Homemade Pasta: Here We Come!

    I have been quite slow to jump on the kitchen bandwagon brought about by COVID. No sourdough baking for me! I’m guessing it’s because I’ve had less time because of COVID, not more of it? After all, we did have to reimagine our entire school model and play the role of armchair epidemiologists. And now we run two schools instead of one! (And I still have to make four videos a week. Oy!) But at this point I’m ready to slow down and be more in the present. My first goal is going to be to master homemade pasta!

    Coronavirus Food: What have you been eating lately?

    Are your coronavirus food eating habits as off as mine are? I normally drink a blueberry, cacao, and kale smoothie every morning for breakfast. But access to leafy greens has been on and off at our house. So on those days when we don’t have them I just resort to yogurt (or—I’m not gonna lie—I will even delight my children by taking them to McDonald’s once in a while even though I despise that corporation and try to support local business as much as possible when we take-out food).     Gluten-Free Fruit Crumble Bars: Our New Recipe

    I haven’t really enjoyed baking or cooking for many years. Looking back on it, I think my aversion toward it correlates with adding children into our family. There were just a lot of things that became difficult to maintain (like cleaning our house every week). Baking and cooking for fun fell lower and lower down the list.
