Montessori Clothes: How to Select the Right Clothing
The weather is already warming up in Austin (hello, Spring!), which made me realize that Henry needs new clothes. The only warm weather clothes he has are onesies. They are getting too tight, and now that he’s going to school, it feels like shorts are in order. I prefer to buy used clothing whenever possible. However, I didn’t have the patience or time to seek out stores for used baby clothing in my new city. Instead, we took a short trip down the street to Target. Montessori Movement: Crawling to Walking
Reading Carrie’s posts the past two days makes me marvel at the magic of infancy to toddlerhood. I know I sound cheesy, but I mean it! It’s simply amazing to watch a being go from a supine, completely-dependent position to an independent being who can walk. In eight months, Henry has gone from lying on his back to pulling himself up on everything. It has been amazing to watch the development of Montessori Movement: Crawling to Walking.

I’m a certified Montessori teacher for grades 1st through 3rd. However, I had a hard time wrapping my brain around how to implement Montessori principles for an infant. I read this book and this book, as well as several different blogs. But still, the sequence of which materials to use and when wasn’t very clear to me.
