    Fall Break Plans: Let’s Get Going!

    Why, yes, Fall Break officially starts today and I am just now sitting down to finalize our Fall Break Plans. What can I say? It’s been a really busy year trying to reimagine school for 500 children!

    The first glimpse that we might need to shut down school because of COVID-19 happened during the middle of our Spring Break. Since then, we’ve been working non-stop (even through Summer Break). At least I got to do my work from an amazing screened porch off Lake Michigan for a week!

    Backyard Designs: What I’m Dreaming & Scheming

    It’s so fun to spend my free time dreaming up ideas for the new house (when I’m not stressing about the upcoming election and the fate of the United States). Here are the backyard designs I’m scheming about:

    A cozy covered patio. There’s a small covered patio. I’m thinking this sectional.

    This chiminea is so cool (although I think I would opt for a fire pit instead).

    And we’ll be bringing our outdoor dining table with us, so we will need some kind of area for that.
