    5-Minute Home Improvement

    You know you’re a busy, full-time working, full-time mothering blogger when you write about something as simple as cutting a piece off your outdoor bushes and sticking it in a vase with water. 
    But sometimes it’s the little things! 
    This easy, peasy strategy is an awesome way to add real greenery to a space without having to sustain a live houseplant. Even the darkest areas of a home can sustain this kind of green! 
    And, sometimes, those of us who are busy full-time working and full-time mothering need some quick and easy solutions!

    The End of Toilet Paper?

    Listening to Kelsey and Chris’s podcast, Matrimoney, is introducing all sorts of new ideas and goals into my life around money. But it’s also getting me interested in the idea of eliminating toilet paper from our master bathroom. 

    Yes, seriously!
    On the podcast, they talk about using the diaper sprayer attached to their toilet to clean their private areas before using a resusable baby wipe (the kind made out of fabric) to pat dry. Then they went on to get a bidet for their bathroom.

    Dreaded Chores

    The house we stayed in for the Reflection & Rejuvenation retreat was absolutely stunning. It inspired me to want to take better care of my home (pictured above) because I am deeply impacted by my physical surroundings. For example, there are lots of maintenance things that need to get done on our house that are negatively impacting its beauty:
    1. The wood siding is molding and needs to be power-washed, scrubbed, and restained
    2. The deck paint is peeling off 🙁
    3. We have some warped bamboo floorboards from water damage that need to be replaced
    4. Henry accidentally pulled one of the towel hooks off the wall and we haven’t done anything about
